The iTivity remote support architecture delivers comprehensive and compliant remote access for HIPAA computer applications. iTivity provides secure connections, centralized authorization and direct control of remote access logging.
Strong Security
iTivity secures all connections and data transfer with strong protocols and encryption. Industry standard TLS/SSLv3 protocol protects all data transfer in iTivity. By default, 2048 bit RSA encryption certificates are used for session establishment and bulk encryption is performed using 128 bit AES symmetrical session keys.
Central Control
The self-hosted, central iTivity server delivers many benefits for HIPAA compliance. The iTivity server requires authentication and implements access policy based on security groups. Since all connections pass through the iTivity server, it centralizes authorization and access control. Since you maintain and manager the iTivity server on your own hardware, you can easily insure access control meets your HIPAA needs.
Accountability
Since the iTivity server is self-hosted, all of the remote access audit logging occurs on your system. You will have direct access to the systems with your logging. There is no need to request access via a third party. iTivity improves remote support accountability in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
Healthcare Platforms
iTivity remote support software supports popular healthcare platforms, including Solaris Sparc/x86/x64, HP-UX, IBM AIX, RedHat Linux (among others), Windows 7, Windows XP, Vista, 2003 Server and 2008 Server.
