Your remote access connections are protected by a TLS-SSL encrypted tunnel from your desktop to the destination system. Since both your desktop and the destination computer may be located across the Internet from the central iServer, remote access is truly global. iTivity uses standard enterprise authentication and authorization like active directory, PAM and NIS to verify access permission. iTivity customers benefit from easy to use, secure remote access tunnels.

On Demand and Always On

To better meet your needs, iTivity remote access comes in two flavors: on demand and always on. The live support iAgent provides on demand access for remote user technical support and training. The admin iAgent gives you always on remote access to critical applications, databases and servers.

Connection Manager

The iTivity iManager automatically configures, launches and monitors remote access sessions to systems on your iServer. Acting as your connection manager, the iManager lists available systems and displays all of the services automatically discovered by the remote iAgent.

Behind Firewalls

With iTivity, there is no need to manually configure SSH ports nor open dangerous pinholes in the firewall. The iTivity iAgent establishes an out-bound connection from the remote system to your self-hosted connection broker. The iAgent can negotiate HTTP and SOCKS proxy servers to ensure you have access to any environment.

Remote Access Port Forwarding

iTivity enables secure web application access, remote desktop access, remote login, remote control, remote monitoring and secure file transfer. These features are implemented via port forwarding from your desktop for standard remote administration and support tools such as RDP, SFTP, VNC, SSH and telnet. The iTivity manager automatically configures, launches and monitors remote access sessions to systems on your iServer.
